Packed Tower Scrubbers, Type W70

The Emtrol Model W70 Packed Tower Scrubber is utilized to absorb gaseous compounds, acid mists and odors through the counter-current flow of gases and scrubbing liquid over a packed section.  This unit is meant to operate at a very low pressure drop, thereby reducing power consumption and energy costs.  The design and location of internal parts eliminates gas channeling and assures trouble-free operation as there are no moving parts.  The W70 is easily adapted to new or retrofit applications and no support structure is required.

For ease of retrofitting, both vertical and horizontal outlet styles are available and inclusive to the design are lifting and hold down lugs, access doors, and internal supports for packing grids and mist eliminators.
