Dynamic Fan Scrubbers, Type W30

The Emtrol Dynamic Fan Scrubber is an intermediate range scrubber that incorporates a wetted, self-cleaning fan integral to the unit. The continuously irrigated fan serves the dual purpose of collecting particulate and providing the static pressure for movement of gases through the system. The compact design provides remarkable cost savings and is advantageous to situations where installation space is limited.

Particulate-laden gas enters directly into the fan where the scrubbing liquid is introduced through open non-clogging nozzles.  Material build-up on the fan wheel and housing is prevented, due to this flushed design.  The liquid is dispersed into fine droplets by the rotating fan wheel. Particulate matter collides with the fine droplets and becomes entrapped within.

The liquid droplets containing captured solids are separated centrifugally from the gas stream in the cyclonic separator tank, flow down the inner cone and drain off the slurry discharge while the clean air escapes through the vertical gas outlet.

Emtrol Dynamic Fan Scrubbers can be supplied as a complete, skid-mounted and factory-tested system, if required.  Our W30's feature the following benefits and capabilities:

particulate removal efficiency equivalent to medium energy venturi scrubber

handles volumes to 70,000 cfm or higher

up to 12" external static pressure (additional static/pressure designs are available)

operates effectively at 1/4 the liquid requirements of a typical venturi scrubber

low liquid re-circulation requirements at 3 gpm/1000 cfm

cost saving compact design for limited installation space

Our application experience is extensive in industries including mining and minerals, wood products, food products and pulp and paper.  Emtrol Dynamic Fan Scrubbers are universally supplied and easily adapted to such industry-specific applications.
