Fluid Catalytic Cracking Cyclones
We have incorporated many new features into our cyclones to
enhance the separation efficiency, accommodate increased catalyst loading and to
minimize wear on internal surfaces of the cyclone equipment. Some
of the new design features focus on the aspect ratio of the cyclone inlet,
limitations on flux rates and cyclone inlet to outlet criteria. Other
features are related to the construction details, where we have adopted a new
crossover duct design and have minimized the use of edge bars in the refractory
linings throughout the cyclone assembly. We have also developed a dust
hopper and lined dipleg stub design that enhances the catalyst discharge from
the cyclones and mitigates the effects of erosion. We can
evaluate your existing cyclone system for current operating rates and recommend
necessary modifications to help maximize the performance and/or minimize
potential erosion problems that could result in unscheduled shutdowns. If you are interested
in obtaining a recommendation and quotation, please visit our general list of items
required to recommend cyclones for use in FCC service for pertinent
information. Emtrol
has supplied equipment for all the major refiners and their respective
affiliates, including BPAmoco, Caltex, ChevronTexaco, ExxonMobil, Phillips
(including Tosco) and TotalFina Elf. Clearly,
the repetitive selection of Emtrol cyclone systems by these refiners has been
inspired by the excellent results attained by the systems we previously
provided to them and their affiliates. Furthermore, we are
approved by all the FCC process licensing companies as a qualified supplier of cyclone
equipment, namely: |
